The Power of a Clean Mouth: Why Your Words Reflect Your Heart

Have you ever stopped to think about the words you speak when no one is watching? The Bible tells us, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34). What comes out of your mouth is more than just speech... it is a mirror of your heart, your character, and your maturity. Cussing, swearing, or speaking carelessly isn’t just “bad language.” It’s a reflection of what’s inside you: unresolved anger, immaturity, or a lack of self-respect and self-control. When you curse, you are literally showing the world and yourself what lives in your heart. Here’s something to think about: cussing is a correlation to a person who cheats. You can’t trust a man or a woman who habitually cheats or betrays others. In the same way, you cannot fully trust someone with a filthy mouth, because it reveals a lack of maturity, self-control, and respect for yourself and for others. Yet, here’s the irony: when we go to work, attend interviews, or deal with professional situations,...

Outgrowing.

You could be living in the same country for years, in your parents’ house, being loved and taken care of very well. You could be working a job, have a degree, and even have the opportunity to go higher and do more in the matrix. You have family around you, cousins that love you, acquaintances, a church you attend and serve in — you have your personal life, is what I’m trying to say, no matter what that may look like. However, all of a sudden, you start outgrowing everything. You start outgrowing everyone. You outgrow the employment you have, the country you’re living in, the hometown you’re in, the family you’re surrounded by the friends you may have .... everything. Yet you are still in the same place and have been for a while… or at least it feels like it. This does not mean that you are not growing internally and externally, you are but you feel like you need to maybe move countries.  My encouragement to you is this: if you are someone who walks with Jesus and all of a sudde...

Take a leap of faith.

Hebrews 11:1 — “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith requires action. After you have hoped, prayed, cried, walked through the highs and lows, and seen things prophetically in dreams or visions because God has shown you the substance... the tangible people, places, and things ahead in your future according to His will, which also includes your good desires (Psalm 20:4) there comes a moment to move. You may have heard the phrase, “take a leap of faith.” There is truth in this. Taking a leap of faith means taking the necessary actions with what you can do, using what you have, and trusting that God will take care of the rest. Our Heavenly Father is not short in supply. In this life journey, we have everything we need if we learn to let go of control and lean on the One who has everything under control. This is why Scripture says, “Do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall make your path s...

connections.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)   “There are ‘friends’ who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” — Proverbs 18:24 (NLT)   The more you come into alignment with your purpose on earth as it is written in heaven, the more intentional, alert, awake, and discerning you become. As this happens, the environments you find yourself in begin to change. The life you are called to live requires a specific type of environment, lifestyle, friendships, and connections. Not everyone is meant to have close access to you. This does not mean building walls so high that you stop living or refuse to give people a chance. Some connections enter our lives for a season because, in that season, we may need each other. But there is a difference between seasonal connections and the people who are meant to be close to you. Even Jesus...
